Drive truck from under aircraft... then re-assemble main landing gear

Fuselage is now resting on its own landing gear...  crane and slings can now handle wings...

Upper wing is supported by sling while lower wing is placed on cradles and attached to center section..
 

Upper wing is supported by crane sling... then lower wing is manually moved into place on cradles.

N-strut and Flying wiring can now be installed....

Horizontal stabilizer and vertical fin installation....

Installing control surfaces...

Its beginning to look like an airplane!

It is feasible to move the AN-2 short distances by securing the tail wheel in bed of pickup truck.
 

These guys did have escort vehicles but probably  should have had some auxilliary trailer lights rigged.....
